CFL 501
The model
The CFL 501 locomotive is a diesel locomotive with a hydrostatic transmission. It is equipped with cab lights, directional driving lights (tail and front), a horn and a pressure tank to operate the brakes.

It is powered by a 2-cylinder Kubota diesel engine with 12 hp. The engine drives an alternator, an air pump and the hydraulic pump which uses the oil pressure to drive 2 motors, one on each bogie.
The locomotive was manufactured by Mardyke Miniature Railways Ltd from England.
